Season 13 - Week 16

Kelly has stepped in for Team KarJackly and has quickly become an impact player!  She had a solid 3rd place finish in her first game last week, and follows it up last night by taking the whole thing down.  Great job Kelly!  Its a big win, big enough to move them up to solo 2nd place, just 5 points behind Julius.  With 63 points and 9 weeks to go, they're guaranteed at least 72 points, which just may be enough to get them to the Big Show after landing on the bubble two seasons in a row.

Perennial Final Table Champ Jeff "Sponge Bob" Hall makes only his 5th appearance of the season, and sees just enough floppy doppies to take 2nd.

Eric gets 3rd place for his 3rd pointing of the season, and he moves up to 13th place and just 7 points out of the Top 9.

Potential cross-dresser Steven helps his cause out by grabbing 4th place points, and reduces the gap in the race for the dress to just 4 points behind Mike.

Jagu got the scrappy 5th, and Rick was the Bubble Boy.

9 weeks left, its still anyone's game!!!

This update is a week late again, sorry I had some technical difficulties with the sign-in sheet.  (As in technically, I didn't bring it home.)

Fkamiah takes it down, and prances up the leaderboard all the way up to 2nd place, tied with Chess and just 6 points behind Julius, who has been undisturbed alone in 1st place for a while now.  Fkamiah typically saves his run to the top for the end of the season, but it looks like he started a bit early this year.  If he can finish strong he'll be a threat to win the Points Championship.

Jagu has had a somewhat quiet season, but he breaks a 9 week slump with a 2nd place, and moves up to the Top 9 bubble spot in 10th, just 3 points behind, gulp, me.  I'm riding a 5 week slump myself, and not liking it.

Kelly comes in with a 3rd place finish for Team KarJackly, and its good enough to move them back into the Top 9, just ahead of, gulp, me.

New guy Rick gets his 2nd pointing in 3 tries.  He didn't start until Week 13, but with 10 weeks left in the season there's still time to make a move. 

Cayce got the scrappy 5th, and the Bubble Boy for the week is a mystery.

And the streak is over!!!  Mike breaks out of his season long slump in grand fashion by taking down the whole enchilada.  He ended up with everyone's chips, AND the $50 bounty Steven was kind enough to put on him.  Congrats Mike, and have fun with the fam at Sizzler.

Ant is the hottest player in the club right now (in a poker sense you crazies, don't go there.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.)  He completes the hat-trick with a 2nd place last night and his 3rd pointing in a row.  He's quickly moved up to 13th overall in that time period, and is just 7 points out of the Top 9.  And on top of that, he's locked in the win for Mini-Season3.  Macho.

Fkamiah is back in the Top 9 with a 3rd place finish and his 4th pointing of the season, and Cayce is back in the points after a 7 week layoff with a 4th.  Sungina picks up the scrappy 5th for Team Omagina, and Angelica, playing for Team Charlie landed on the Bubble.

Things are starting to get juicy, no one has really broken out ahead or fallen too far behind.  With 11 weeks left, its still anyone's game.

Sorry this update is so late, there were some logistical problems with the accounting.  I don't really remember what happened last week, but Judy takes the whole shebang down!!!  Nicely done Judy, and from what I hear it took classic Judy river kung-fu to do it too.

Papa Kumo grabs the 2nd spot for his 4th pointing of the season.  He was the only one in the Top 9 to point, and he moves past Jeena and his own son (how rude) from 6th to 4th overall.

Ant got 3rd for his 2nd pointing in a row.  He's moved up to 16th, tied with Arjan after only playing 4 games.  He's also in the lead for Mini-Season 3 with 2 weeks left.  This guys a power house, and if he can commit to the rest of the season he'll make the Final Table.  And if he does, I'll deal.

New guy Rick got 4th in his first time out, and Arjan Uncle got the final pointing spot.

Mike was the Bubble and has extended his point-free streak to 13 weeks.

This season seems to be going fast for some reason, we're already at Week 12 and almost at the half way point.  Jules had broken away from the pack a bit last week after winning 2 of the last 3, but Chess is not going to let him get too far ahead.  And with the win last night, Chess takes over 2nd place and reduces the gap to just 6 points.  Well done.

Ant, playing in only his 3rd game of the season, takes down 2nd place and now has more points than Mike, who blanked for the 12th time in a row last night.  Mike's Q's ran into my set of J's, then Judy finished him off in classic Judy fashion.

Judy had a TON of Judy SOCRR moments early in the night, and very quickly was in triple up range.  One hand worth mentioning was Jeff Hall's second hand of the night, when he turned a straight and got all his chips in against Judy's 2 pair.  "I have to call."  Gulp.  Judy screams for a 9!  9!!  9!!!  And the river comes... 7!  Oh, that works too, full house.

Padma gets in the money with a 3rd and her second pointing in a row, enough to get her back in the Top 9 in solo 8th.

And Steven is on the board for the first time this season with a 4th place, and is now out of the Best Dressed cellar, leaving just Mike in the fitting room.  They both have a lot of work to do... if you'll notice, the other 3 in the bet are the top 3 overall.  Its amzaing the motivation a little cross dressing will provide.

The better Alzona pulls in her 2nd pointing of the season with another scrappy 5th, and Charlie was the Bubble Boy.
