BPC Season 12 - Week 15

And Mini-Season 3 is in the books. After an exceptionally painful 2-outer suck out from Earl, I was out of the game. But luckily Jeremiah and Charlie were already out by then as well, so Mini-Season 3 bonus chips are all mine! Yee Haw! Thanks to whoever took them out and took down the whopping $1 bounty I had on each of their heads.
Newlius had the fire in his eye again last night, and with some solid play and the help of his good luck "Mike Alzona Donkey of the Year Award" tee-shirt, he as able to snap his 8 week point-free streak and take down the whole thing. Well done Newlius. With that, he leaps back into the Top 9 again, passing Chess, Jeremiah, Arjan and Nicole along the way, and landing in 5th place tied with Padma, who was this week's Bubble. Nicole gets bumped out of the Top 9 again, all the way down to 12th.
This season's eventual points champion Mike is back in action with a healthy 2nd place showing. Jagu has been stuck in neutral for the past 4 weeks, and in that time Mike has gained 19 points on him, and is now only 7 back, well within striking distance.
Karrie got in the points and the moh-ney for Team KarJacked with a 3rd place, and Judy got 4th place. Those two are now tied for the Bubble at 10th with 41 points.
Steven was only able to manage the Scrappy 5th with all those suck out chips I gave to him. Padma was the Bubble.

BPC Season 12 - Week 14

After a very strong showing last season, taking 1st four times, coming in 3rd place overall in season points, making (I think) his first BPC Final Table, and then making a deep run on it, Potts has been relatively silent this season. Until last night, he only had 1 pointing (a 5th) and had missed 4 of the 13 games. Well he's back in the winner's circle again, out lasting a very stubborn field when it got down to the bubble zone. No one wanted to go out, and play went on forever as chips kept getting passed around.
Potts had his chance to take out Jeremiah on the Bubble when blinds were 1000-2000, Potts was in the big blind and Jeremiah shoves for about 4600 more. Potts was second chip leader behind Jackwagon, and with about 45,000 behind it seemed like an easy snap call. Instead he folded his A-7. The dealer rabbit hunted the cards and he would have won. Just a few hands later, Jeremiah had quietly built his stack back up from nothing to probably 3rd chip leader or more, and I thought for sure the poker gods were going to mandate that Jeremiah snap off Potts before the night was over.
Instead Potts was right, and all that mattered was the final results. Good job Potts. The win moves him up from the cellar to tied with Jeena at 14th place and within striking distance of the Top 9. Plenty of season left to move in.
I got 2nd for my 3rd pointing in a row, and it moves me past Padma into 4th place overall, just a point behind Charlie and 2 behind this year's eventual Points Champion Mike. It also moves me into the solo lead for Mini-Season 3, with only Charlie and Jeremiah still in the hunt.
Jeremiah got 3rd place and moves past Arjan and into 7th place overall, just a point behind Chester.
Nicole survived a number of all-in's late and ends up with 4th, and is back in the Top 9 again after getting booted out in Week 11. She boots out Newlius in the process, who has been in the Top 9 every week this season except for two (weeks 3 and 4.) This makes it the 3rd week, after being in there for the last 10 straight. Unfortunately he's also gone the last 8 weeks (7 showings) without pointing.
Jackwagon was the scrappy 5th, breaking a 6 week cold spell for Team KarJacked, and Remo was the Bubble Boy.

It was a Kumo one-two finish last night, with me just squeaking out the win, and Papa-san coming in second for his first pointing of his BPC career. Its only my 3rd pointing of the season, but it moves me up to 5th place overall, tied with Chess, and in the Top 9 for the first time this season. No looking back now.
After a 7 week dry spell, Arjan is back in the points with a 3rd. It comes at the right time as he was hanging on by a thread in the Top 9, tied with Steven for 9th place. He now moves up to 7th overall.
Padma is in the points yet again last night with a 4th place finish, her 5th pointing of the year, and moves up to 4th place overall, passing by Chess.
Jeremiah was the scrappy 5th, and he drops down from 7th to 8th, but at the same time moves ahead of Newlius, who after starting the season strong has not pointed in the last 7 weeks (6 showings) and is just hanging on to the final Top 9 spot. David was the Bubble Boy.
Scott and Charlie are tied for the lead in Mini-Season 3, but with 2 weeks left its still anyone's to take.
The season is officially over the half way point.

Solid poker indeed. Charlie outlasted the group last night, and takes down his first win of the season, and 6th pointing in all (more than anyone else.) He moves up from 5th to 3rd overall, passing Chess and Padma along the way. Well done Chucky.
After going the first 7 weeks without pointing, last season's Points Champion Earl is back to his old tricks and sneaking up the leaderboard. He got 2nd last night, and has pointed in 3 of the last 5 weeks. He's now snuck into the Top 9, tied for 9th with Arjan.
Mike, (this season's eventual points champion if Jagu ever decides to slow down,) got 3rd place, and needed it to keep him in 2nd place overall, just a point ahead of Charlie.
I got pkt Aces 3 times last night. The first time, early in the night from the little blind, I picked a whopping 300 chips from the big blind and one caller. The second time was against Chess in a good sized pot, and he put me on a decision with a pair of 6's on the board making me sweat profusely. The third time they got severely cracked against some crap hand at the final table, sending me home in 4th place. So rude.
Kurt was the Scrappy, and Chris was the Bubble for the 2nd week in a row.

This update is way late, and I can't even remember what happened. But it looks like Jagu starts off Mini-Season 3 with yet another win. Monster. As of week 11, he's got a 26 point lead over 2nd place, and a 43 point lead over 9th place. He's on pace for a 170 point season. Gawdfodder es muy macho.
And to add a little icing to the cake, Judy got 2nd! The 12 points push her up into the Top 9 for the first time this season.
Jeremiah got 3rd, and is back in the Top 9 after being booted out back in Week 7.
Charlie got 4th and Padma got 5th. Both have been playing solidly this season, and now have their 5th and 4th pointings of the season, respectively.
Chris was the Bubble Boy. I talked to him later and he said he played too passively at the end, and wasn't going to do that again. Let's see how it works out for him next week.
