a single spot up moving ahead of Nicole into 14th, but going into the week he was 24 points out of the Top 9. Had he not had a good pointing he would have been mathematically eliminated from the Final Table (for the first time ever, i think?) Now he is only 10 points out and can still claim a ticket to the big show if things work out in the final week. Congrats Jagu!
Jeena took 2nd, moves up a spot past Allan U into 6th, and can move as high as 2nd with a win next week. She's also positioned well for the mini-season just one point behind JC.
Remo got 3rd and maintains the 5th spot overall, but can also move into 2nd with a win.
The Milkman got some desperately needed points. After winning back in Week 17, he has had only a single pointing (a 5th) since then, and dropped from 8th down to 13th. With a 4th this week, he moves up a couple of spots past Dermo and Jeremiah into 11th, and is only 4 points out of the Top 9.
And Padma got the scrappy 5th spot, which normally isn't much to scream about, but with it she has secured at worst a tie for the Points Championship. Only JC or I can get even with her, and we need a win and her not to point for that to happen. CONGRATS PADMA!

season but collecting a win and a couple of 2nds along the way, enough to keep him in the hunt. But with the win in Week 23, Amir is not only in the hunt but back in the Top 9, tied with Mike in 8th. Congrats Amir!
JC follows up last week's win with a 2nd this week, and gershdernit he moves up into a tie for 2nd with me.
Mike got 3rd, and it moves him up from 10th into the Top 9 tied with the aforementioned Amir in the 8th spot. It's only a two spot move up, but because of the tight pack near the bubble zone, it's a huge move. Not only does he boot Allen Y and Dermo out of the Top 9, but he's now got a 12 point lead in the Las Flores Championship.
Bagu shows up for the second time this season, and is 2 for 2 in pointing, taking down 4th.
Allen U scraps for the scrappy 5th, and it's important enough to move him up a spot past Jeena, who drops down to 7th.
Milkman was the Bubble Boy, his fourth of the season.
Just 2 weeks left in the season! This week's game is on Wednesday because of Thanksgiving. Hopefully Jeremiah will send out the what-if scenarios, there's still so much in play. Padma still has a very healthy, but not insurmountable, 12 point lead. Mathematically, it's down to just 3 people that can catch her... JC, Chess and me.
The Bubble Zone is extremely tight once again. For anyone in the 6th through 14th positions it's pretty much a Win-and-You're-In situation, and any other big pointing is probably enough too. And a pointing of any sort is enough to move up a position or two.
