Season 21 - Week 13

Amir spent the first 11 weeks of the season trolling the basement of the league,

Week 13 Winner...
Amirizona!

never much a final table threat and not even a Bubble to his name.  But after last week's 2nd place put him into striking range, a win this week was exactly what he needed to pass by Judy, Jagu, Jeremiah, Nicole, Chess, Mike and Andy, a veritable who's who of the BPC, and move into the Top 9 tied with The Milkman.  And a win is exactly what he got, congrats Amir!

Kurt has had a relatively quiet first half, with only a single pointing to his name, a 3rd back in Week 6.  But a 2nd place this week moves him up 5 spots into 14th, and importantly only 5 measly points out of the Top 9.  5.  Measly.  Points.

I got my 6th pointing of the season with a 3rd, my 3rd 3rd of the season.  I was in 3rd overall going into the week, and in 3rd for the last 3 weeks.  And with the the 3rd this week, I now remain in 3rd.  So I got that going for me.

And then there is Padma, who has moved into the dominant zone with yet another pointing, this time a 4th.  And with it she extends her overall lead to 24, which by any measure is a lot.

Jagu got the scrappy 5th, and Dermo notches a back-to-back Bubble Boy.

We are officially past the halfway point of the season, and outside of Padma who is running away with it again, everything is still very much wide open.  Most of the pack is only separated by a single large pointing.  String a couple of those together like Amir did, and it's season changing.
