200 blind for a family pot until it gets back to JC in the big blind. He pumps it to 2500.

Decision time with my pkt Aces, call or raise. I raise to 6500, hoping for more cash but thinking most people and maybe even JC will fold. Everyone does except JC, fine with me. He shows pkt 8's and flop is blank for both of us. As is the turn. The river, not so much. The two outer 8 hits and I'm in rebuy mode after about 90 seconds of play.

[8:05] Amir is in the house, and the first hand he plays he raises from early position and gets a few callers. Flop comes 9-8-7 and Amir bets again. Kelly calls and the river comes 5. Amir shoves for the rest of his newly bought full stack and Kelly insta calls. "Oh crap, I didn't even look." (Read: I didn't see that straight on the board.) Regardless, he calls for almost the rest of his chips and Kelly shows A-6 for the straight that Amir didn't see because he was blinded by his top set of 9's. Fire up the cash game.

Last week's big news was Padma's back to back wins. Well she's in the news again with a strong 3rd place money finish to complete the hat trick and win Mini-Season 1. Congrats Padma!

In the winner's circle this week? Jeremiah! We haven't said that much in the last 6 Mini-Seasons, but he has guaranteed we will hear it a lot this season, and every time a player of his caliber has said it, it has come true. I'm thinking he's top one or one this year. (Yes you read that right.)
