BPC Season 14 - Week 11
-----------------------
Jeff Hee Hall survived a few critical all-in's for his tournament life when it was short handed, withstood a 3-1 chip disadvantage when it was heads up, and takes down the Week 11 win. Unfortunately for Team HeeMo, Hee was playing as Guest 1. Guest 1 moves up from 18th place to 12th, and is only 6 points out of the Top 9. If I can't beat fkn Guest 1, then I may have to break out my Halloween costume for the Final Table.
Fkamiah missed last week while he was yucking it up in Tampa, but comes back this week to take his third 2nd place of the season, and 5th pointing overall. He also reclaims the top overall spot from Cowboy Slick Rick, who has held it for the last 3 weeks. Fkamiah has held it for the other 8. But there's no fame or fortune for holding it the most number of weeks, you just need to be holding it after Week 25. Who will it be? The smart money is on the top 3 of Fkamiah, Slick and Chess since they have mostly dominated it since the start of Mini-Season 2, but there's still PLENTY of season left, we're not even half way there yet.
Derek, playing for Team DerMo, take down 3rd place. It's his 2nd pointing of the season, and the team's 3rd, and they move up to 5th place overall, passing Jeena, Arjan and Potts.
I got 4th and move into the Top 9 for the first time all season. Release the Kraken!
Papa Kumo got the scrappy 5th, not enough to put him back in the Top 9, and Chess was the Bubble. Chess doesn't bubble very often, his last one was in Season 12 Week 17, 36 weeks ago. And on this night, I don't think anyone was happier to see him go out than Fkamiah.

Season 14 - Week 10
BPC Season 14 - Week 10
-----------------------
Week 10 was not short of poker excitement and crazy hands. Too many to call out, but one certainly worth mentioning. Blinds are 200-400/50 and Chess and Arjan are in a hand on Table 1. I can hear him over there making a fuss after the flop comes K-10-9 all clubs, and turn comes 3 of clubs. He gets up, "man I can't believe this, I can't believe I let you catch up." Yada, yada, you know the routine. Anyway, he shoves, and Arjan calls, which is exactly what Chess wanted because he's holding A-K with the Ace of clubs for the Ace high flush. Not the nut flush mind you, because Arjan is holding pkt Q's, including the Q of clubs.
Chess is almost 98% to win, but Arjan does have an out, exactly one, the J of clubs. You can probably guess where this is going... let's see the river. Ding! The Jack of friggin clubs. The dreaded one outer. That's very hurtful Arjan. Chess is going to take the bus and don't expect to see him at the pancake social.
That took most of Chess's chips, but he was still able to hang around until the final table. He ends up getting his chips in good and an opportunity for a triple up with 2 callers. Chess is ahead with pkt 9's against Arjan's A-K and Jules' pkt 4's. Papa-san is dealing, and puts the flop down with the cards stacked on each other, exposing one at a time. Ace in the window! And Arjan takes the lead. Second card... Jack. Marginal. Third card... a 4!!! Julius flops a set and pulls way ahead (87%). But just to make certain, he went ahead and rivered quads.
And with that, Chester is rail bound and left watching the two players still in who could steal away Mini-Season 2, Slick Rick and Arjan. Both of them lasted a long time, and play went for a while with no one wanting to go out. But in the end Slick fell, and Arjan bubbled, with means that Slick and Chess will split the Mini-Season 2 booty. It also means Fkamiah's Mini-Season record of 44 is safe yet again.
I was able to take down the win, thanks in part to an early double up from Charlie of Team Churl, who called my pre-flop all-in with pkt K's against my pkt Aces. I've been on the wrong side of that equation far more than my share, and it feels good when a hand actually holds up. I'm still out of the Top 9, but at least I've finally passed Guest 1.
Karrie of Team KarJackly takes 2nd, her first personal pointing of the season, but the team's 3rd overall, each contributing with one. With it, they move up from 8th to 4th, passing DerMo, Potts, Arjan and Jeena.
Julius, broken knuckle and all, takes 3rd, and Hee Hall of Team Heemo takes 4th. Eric was shooting for a league leading 3rd Bubble, but slips instead into the scrappy 5th slot.
Mini-Season 3 starts next week, and we're quickly approaching the half way point!

Season 14 - Week 9
BPC Season 14 - Week 9
----------------------
Arjan wins week 9, and moves up to 5th place overall!!! Well done Arjan Uncle!
Fkamiah places for "just" the 4th time this season, but its another 2nd place to go along with his previous two firsts and a second. Its enough to put him back into 2nd place overall.
Eric took the last of my chips and rode them to 3rd place, his first pointing of the season.
Cowboy Slick Rick pointed for the 7th time in 9 weeks! Impressive. This time with a 4th place, which he needed to maintain his overall lead, which is still a comfortable 6 points despite Fkamiah and Chess nipping on his arse.
Speaking of Chess, he pointed for the 5th time in a row, and 6th overall with a 5th place, and is in 3rd overall.
While my season is sucking sweaty dingo berries, its fun to watch those three duke it out for the Points Championship? Any one want a side bet?
Chess and Slick go into the final week of Mini-Season 2 tied at 32 points, with Arjan the only man left in striking range to catch them. Chess and Slick will tie Fkamiah's Mini-Season record of 44 with a 2nd place in Week 10, and will set a new record with a win.

And there's a new sheriff in town! Cowboy Slick Rick posts his 6th pointing in 8 showings, and his first 1st place of the season. Its enough to vault him past both Fkamiah and Chester and into 1st with a comfortable 8 point lead. Rick has been playing solid all season, but sometimes you need a little help from the cards as well. When it was short handed, Slick flopped 2 pair against Fkamiah's flopped straight, and rivered a boat. And when it was 5 handed, Slick shoved with pkt 10's but runs into Hee Hall's pkt Aces. Turn come 10. Doh. Regardless, well done Slick and congrats.
Charlie playing for Team Churl gets his first pointing of the season with a healthy 2nd place finish, and The Godfodder moves into the Top 9 with a 3rd.
Chess gets his 4th pointing in a row and 5th of the season with a 4th, and Hee Hall playing for Team Heemo gets the scrappy 5th.
Jackwagon for Team KarJackly was the bubble.
Chess still leads Mini-Season 2, but only by 3 points now with Slick Rick right on his tail. Only 7 people left in contention with 2 weeks left.
